Notice of Intention to Acquire Land – J.H. Vagg Memorial Reserve

The Corangamite Shire Council (“Council”) acting under Section 5(2)(d) of the Local Government Act 1989 (‘the Act”) proposes to consider acquiring the following parcel of Crown land:

•    J.H. Vagg Memorial Reserve, being Crown Allotment 1A, Section 32, Township of Cobden, Parish of Tandarook.

An on-site meeting has been scheduled for:
•    J.H. Vagg Memorial Reserve on Thursday 13th April 2017 at 10:00am

In accordance with the Local Government Act 1989, Council must advertise its intention to acquire the land and ensure that public notice of intention to do so is given.  

In accordance with Section 223 of the Act, any person wishing to make a submission in relation to the intended acquisition of land must do so in writing and be received by Council by 5.00pm, Monday 8 May 2017.

Submissions must be made in writing and addressed to:

Corangamite Shire Council
PO Box 84, Camperdown, VIC, 3260.

Any person who has made a submission under Secion 223 of the Act and has requested to be heard in support of their written submission is entitled to appear in person or to be represented by a person specified in the submission before the Council, the day, time and place of which will be advised in writing.

Council will consider any written submissions in accordance with Section 223 of the Act.

Following consideration of submissions and community feedback, Council may resolve to acquire or not to acquire J.H. Vagg Memorial Reserve.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSIDER THE SALE OF THE COBDEN STREET STALL

The Corangamite Shire Council (“Council”) acting under Section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 (‘the Act”) proposes to consider selling the following parcel of Council owned land:

•    19F Curdie Street, Cobden (known as the Cobden Street Stall), being Lot 6 SP33863 (refer to area marked 6 on Map A)

Before selling or exchanging the land Council must, in accordance with Section 189 of the Act, ensure that public notice of intention to do so is given at least 4 weeks prior to selling or exchanging the land.

In accordance with Section 223 of the Act, any person wishing to make a submission in relation to the intended sale of the land must do so in writing and be received by Council by 5.00pm, Monday 1 May 2017.
