The National Broadband Network (NBN) is coming to Corangamite, bringing with it opportunities for greatly improved internet speeds as well as significant potential cost savings compared to existing plans.
Community Development Officer Garry Moorfield said the sessions were developed in response to communities requests for further information about the NBN as there seemed to be a lack of available information around.
For most of us, this new technology gives rise to many questions such as:
1. How do I connect to the NBN?
2. Where can I go for assistance?
3. What will it cost?
4. How much will I save?
5. How will it benefit my business?
6. Can I do nothing?
To help local people come to grips with the various technologies and options available, the Corangamite Shire and the State Government of Victoria have arranged information sessions in eight Corangamite towns over the next four months.
Representatives from the NBN together with local and national service providers will be attending to provide information and answer questions, followed by the opportunity for one-on-one discussions about specific needs for both residential and business customers.
All interested people are welcome to attend any of the information sessions in the following Corangamite towns.
