Festival organisers are excited about a fresh line-up for this year’s Robert Burns Scottish Festival, 19-21 May in Camperdown.
New names Satch Campbell, John McAuslan, Siobhan Owen, Platform 9¾ and Duck Duck Goose will join festival favourites Fiona Ross, Tolka, Likely Celts, Chris Duncan and Catherine Strutt to perform over the weekend.
Organising committee member Cr Ruth Gstrein said final touches were being made to the program.
“It’s a great mix of big name folk artists and local talent such as Tuniversal and Warrnambool Pipes and Drums (WADPADI),” she said.
The Robert Burns Scottish Festival is a weekend of music, dance and poetry celebrating Camperdown’s unique link to Robert Burns.
The event program includes live music in the historic Court House and Theatre Royal, piping and highland dancing competitions, jamming and busking, Scottish family dancing, the Deer Stalkers Dinner, art and history exhibitions, music workshops and whisky tasting.
A full program will be released by Easter with tickets on sale in April. Tickets can be purchased from Corangamite Shire on 5593 7100.
