Derrinallum
The Derrinallum Plan was developed through the latter half of 2011 and finalised on 22 February 2012. Sixty-six ideas were put forward and voted upon, producing a ten-year Town Plan including 15 projects. Seven projects were completed by the time the plan was reviewed in October 2014. Four new projects were added and a new list of 15 priorities was confirmed. A review of the plan was again completed in 2019.
Derrinallum’s current top priorities are:
- Upgrading the toilet block (completed)
- Develop local produce/ craft outlet
- Create a community noticeboard and map (commenced)
- Develop a northern food trail
- Develop a small retirement village
- Painting Derrinallum shopfronts (in progress)
- Construct walking track from town to Deep Lake
