What happened at the October Council Meeting

At its October meeting, Council:

  • Passed a condolence motion recognising the passing of former Heytesbury Shire Councillor and President, Corangamite Shire Councillor and 2005 Citizen of the Year Alma MacDonald
  • Refused a Planning Permit for landscape and drainage works at existing dwelling  on Sadlers Road, Naroghid
  • Adopted the Financial Plan 2021-2031
  • Received the Finance Report for the period ending 30 September 2021
  • Approved adjustments to the 2021-2022 forecast budget
  • Resolved to prepare an amendment to the Corangamite Shire Planning Scheme to provide reference to the Cobden Aerodrome Master Plan and Obstacle Limitation Surfaces survey and update local policy
  • Authorised the CEO to write to Community Sport, Regional Development, and Energy, Environment and Climate Change Ministers highlighting the challenges faced by Recreation Reserve Committees
  • Adopted a new:
    • CEO Performance and Remuneration Policy
    • Light Vehicle Fleet Policy and Procedures
  • Delegated to the Chief Executive Officer authorisation to:
    • Review and amend Schedule1 Replacement Light Vehicle Models and Schedule 2 Vehicle Entitlements and Condition of Use of the Light Vehicle Fleet Policy as required
    • Review and amend Schedule1 Vehicle Replacement Schedule of the Light Vehicle Fleet Procedures as required during the life of the Procedure
  • Allocated Facility Design Grant funds of $5000 each to:
    • Camperdown Golf Club
    • Cobden Cricket Club
    • Simpson Football Netball Club
  • Approved a subsequent round of Facility Design Grants in March 2022 within the remaining budget allocation.
