What happened at the March Council Meeting

At its March meeting Council:

  • Granted a planning permit for Use and Development of Land for Domestic Animal Husbandry (Dog Breeding- British and Australian Bulldogs) at 22 Pett Street, Skipton
  • Authorised the Chief Executive Officer to make a submission to the Minister for Planning on Planning Permit Application PA2101345 for the Cobden Solar Farm
  • Noted the draft Corangamite Shire Council Gender Equality Action Plan and authorises the Chief Executive Officer to finalise it for submission to the Gender Equality Commission by 31 March 2022
  • Adopted new:
    • Councillor Candidates at Federal or State Elections Policy; and
    • Events and Festivals Grant Program Policy dated March 2022
  • Received a project update for the Port Campbell Town Centre Revitalisation Project; and
  • Authorised the CEO to amend the procurement plan for the project including any required changes to sequencing and timing of works generally in accordance with the approved project plan
  • Allocated Quick Response Grants to:
    • Camperdown Golf Club ($500) to install Portaloo screening panels
    • Leura Oval Committee of Management ($500) towards new goal post padding
    • Simpson Men’s Shed ($500) to buy a hammer drill
