What happened at the February Council meeting

  • Appointed Lisa Young as an independent (external) member of the Corangamite Shire Council Audit and Risk Committee until 31 January 2024
  • Appointed members to the Berrybank and Ecklin Hall Community Asset Committees
  • Received the Council Plan and Annual Action Plan Progress Report for July–December 2020
  • Noted the half yearly results for the period ending 31 December 2020
  • Received the Corporate Risk Register Strategic Risk Report
  • Adopted the updated Community Engagement Policy
  • Awarded Contract 2021021 12 Apostles Trail Stage 1 – Package C to Waldig Civil Construction for $370,651.50 (exc. GST)
  • Supported submission of Mockridge Park Redevelopment to Round 2 of the Community Sports Infrastructure Stimulus Program and a budget commitment of $390,000 (exc. GST) in 2021-2022, if the application is successful
  • Leased facilities at the Cobden Aerodrome to the Aero Club Inc. until 1 March 2026
  • Approved $3900 for Councillor Conheady to participate in a New Councillors Group Coaching program
  • Allocated Quick Response Grants to:

     Terang Squash Club ($500) for roof repairs at the courts    
     Derrinallum Lismore History Group ($500) to buy an A-frame sign
     Camperdown Bridge Club ($500) to buy a laptop

  • Authorised the CEO to make a submission to the EPA’s proposed Waste and Resources Determinations for processed solid organics wastes, manures (including animal wastewater and effluent), fill materials and aggregates.

Members of the public are required to register to attend the meeting due to COVID-Safe capacity limitations and masks will be required.
