Ramute Stepanavicius is a health and wellness coach who runs Camperdown WellNest, an organic and gluten free café and health food store that recently opened in Manifold Street.

Originally from Geelong, Ramute visited Camperdown one day and immediately fell in love with the town. She was then offered the opportunity to become a caretaker for a local property, which she took on eagerly.

Moving to Camperdown, Ramute immediately took to the local markets to research and seek local opinions on whether she should open what is now your ‘Camperdown WellNest’.

Camperdown WellNest is one of a kind in Camperdown, and the locals are loving it, Ramute says. Integrating an organic café, health foods, bulk foods and natural health care, it is Camperdown’s one stop “Holistic Hub” with “the best wet chai in town”, she said.

“A small breakfast and lunch menu will rotate with our local organic seasonal produce and everything is gluten free.”

Ramute is passionate about wellness and natural health, using many organic local suppliers and natural remedies in store. She is also passionate about the environment, limiting her use of plastic and offering recyclable, compostable and multi-use options for customers.

“I’ve always been a natural health advocate, and have had previous businesses in the eco and lifestyle industries,” she said.

She is willing to order in specific stock on request and plans to expand her café, bulk foods, and Health and Wellness Coaching business.

Ramute also offers sensory massage in a separate room of the health food store along with health consultations. Appointments can be made by phone or by dropping into the store. She also offers workshops on health and wellness. The next will be at the Camperdown Community House on Sunday 18 August, where she will speak on gut health.

“Look out for future workshops and health updates on our social media pages: Facebook.com/campwellnest and @camperdownwellnest on Instagram.” Ramute said. Workshops will also be advertised on the community notice boards and local papers around town.

Ramute thanks the local community for their support to date and said she looked forward to helping Camperdown become a healthier community and the best place to live.
