What happened at the November Council Meeting

At its November meeting, Council: 

  • Re-elected Cr Neil Trotter as Mayor 
  • Re-elected Cr Ruth Gstrein to the position of Deputy Mayor
  • Elected designated Councillors to a range of committees
  • Adopted:
    the Community Planning Infrastructure Projects Policy
    the Equal Opportunity Policy
    the Bullying Prevention Policy; and
    the Election Period (Caretaker) Policy 
  • Adopted the Schematic Design Plan (Revision E dated 14 November 2019) for the Port Campbell Town Centre Urban Design Project and resolved to proceed to the design development stage 
  • Declared special charge schemes for concrete footpaths on:
    Mitchell Street, Cobden, from Dover Street to Adams Street; and
    William Street, Lismore, from about 100m east of Cunningham Street to the primary school entrance 
  • Awarded Contract 2020010 – Slurry Sealing of Various Local Roads in 2019-2020 to Downer EDI Works 
  • Approved Quick Response Grants to
    Camperdown Cricket Club  ($500)  to replace lawn mower engine.
    Terang RSL ($500) for 2020 service booklet
    Lismore Oddfellows Cricket Club ($500) towards  new synthetic grass cricket pitch; and
    Bostocks Creek Hall ($360) to repair a window; 
  • Conditionally agreed to act as loan guarantor for the Camperdown Football Netball Club Inc. for lighting at Leura Oval.
