We Volunteer - Running Effective Meetings

Wednesday 26 June 2019

Session one
From 2 pm to 4:30 pm, Derrinallum Hall

Session 2
From 6:30 pm to 9 pm, Timboon Golf Club

At the heart of every community endeavour is the ‘community meeting’ – the coming together of different people to shape and pursue their common interests. But how many meetings wander off track, take too long, or are dominated by one or two people? How many lack focus or are theatres of conflict? How many regularly achieve those purposes for which their members came?

Members of volunteer-based not-for-profit community groups are invited to learn more about running effective meetings where responsibilities are shared and all committee members can contribute.

This is the fourth of a series of free monthly training sessions aimed at recognising and investing in the vital work undertaken by volunteers across Corangamite Shire. People who haven’t been involved in local community groups before are most welcome to attend.

Places are limited, so please contact the Shire without delay on 5593 7100 to register and reserve your place.
