October Council Meeting Wrap

At the October Meeting Council:

• appointed the Cobden Aerodrome Committee of Management 2019-2020 

• refused planning permission for
  - a food van in Lismore; and
  - redevelopment of the Peterborough airfield 

• approved planning permission for a place of assembly in Cobden

• considered the 2018-2019 Annual Report 

• adopted
  - the updated Urban Street Tree Management Policy
  - the Nature Strip Planting Policy
  - the Portable and Attractive Assets Policy
  - the updated Local Laws, Use of Private Land Policy
  - endorsed the Corangamite Shire Municipal Emergency Management Plan 2019-2021
  - authorised the Chief Executive Officer to make a submission on its behalf on Victorian Government’s Local Government Rating System Review  

• declared special charge schemes for
  - footpaths on Prince Street, Terang; High Street, Lismore; and Dover Street, Cobden; and
  - kerb and channel on Ewing Street, Terang 

• authorised investment officers to invest $5 million for a minimum three-year term within the capital stable fund managed by the Victorian Managed Fund Corporation

• approved a Quick Response Grant for the Camperdown Theatre Company ($500) to conduct Carols by Candlelight
