What happened at May's Council Meeting

At its May meeting, Council:

  • Refused a planning permit amendment for a property on Cross Forest Road, Cobden 
  • Adopted new
     - Naming of Roads, Features and Localities Policy
     - Social Inclusion Policy
     - Investment Policy
     - Public Interest Disclosures Policy (and re-appointed the Manager Human Resources/Risk as Council’s Public Interest Disclosures Coordinator)
     - Corporate Purchase Card Policy
  • Resolved to advertise intention to enter into a five-year lease agreement with South West Healthcare for use of the David Newman Centre for adult day care activities 
  • Extended contract with R & P Matthews Pty Ltd, for supply and delivery of diesel to Council depots, from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021 
  • Approved Quick Response Grants Program to:
     - Heytesbury Rebels Cricket Club ($500) to buy balls for 2020-2021
     - Simpson Football Netball Club ($500) to upgrade of sporting and fitness equipment
     - Timboon Golf Club ($499.99) to erect practise driving nets
