What happened at February's Council meeting

AT ITS FEBRUARY MEETING, COUNCIL: 

• Appointed Ms Phillippa Dee as an independent (external) member of the Corangamite Shire Council Audit Committee until 31 January 2023 

• Adopted the Vehicle Crossings Policy dated February 2020 

• Received the Council Plan and Annual Action Plan Progress Report for July–December 2019 

• Noted the half-yearly results for the period ending 31 December 2019 for the legislated performance indicators under the Local Government (Planning and Reporting) Regulations 2014 

• Received the Corporate Risk Register Strategic Risk Report 

• Approved Quick Response Grants for:
  Terang Men’s Shed ($499) to replace a failed timber router;
  Simpson and District Community Centre ($479) to buy a new lawn mower;
  Coastal Rotary Club of Cobden ($500) to buy film rights and advertising costs for an outdoor movie night
