What happened at January Council Meeting

At its January meeting Council resolved to:

• Request Planning Minister’s authorisation to prepare Planning Scheme Amendment C055 to rezone 373 Old Geelong Road, Camperdown from Farming Zone to Industrial 1 Zone

• Approve a two-lot subdivision on N Robilliards Road, Timboon

• Adopt a new Councillor Code of Conduct and Councillor Gift Policy

• Adopt the Small Business Assistance Grant Program Policy 

• Disband the Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee and establish a new one in accordance with new legislation

• Pursue a new, shared service, library management model

• Award Contract 2021019 – Cobden Streetscape Project to Blue Civil & Construction for $567,990.35 (plus GST)

• Receive the finance report for the period ending 31 December 2020

• Approve the forecast budget for 2020-2021

• Receive a list of documents sealed by the Chief Executive Officer under delegation during 2020 and authorised the CEO to use the Common Seal for various activities

• Set the Councillor allowance at $21,049 per annum, plus the superannuation equivalent and the Mayoral allowance at $62,884 per annum, plus the superannuation equivalent.
