What happened at the December Council meeting?

At its December meeting, Council:

  • Endorsed the Corangamite Youth Council feedback submission to the Victorian Youth Strategy 2020 to be provided to the Equality and Youth Branch, Department of Premier and Cabinet
  • Refused permits to:

     a) Develop a dwelling and outbuilding on Cross Forest Road, Camperdown         
     b) Erect a floodlit billboard on Camperdown-Cobden Road, Cobden
     c) Demolish a building (George Cain’s Cottage) and build a dwelling on Manifold Street, Camperdown     

  • Awarded Contract for 12 Apostles Trail Stage 1 – Package B ($668,676 exc. GST) to Civilnow Pty Ltd
  • Authorised the Chief Executive Officer to make a submission on the proposed ACEnergy Terang Battery Energy Storage System
  • Resolved to advertise intention to enter into a twenty (20) year contract agreement with LMS Energy for the management of landfill gas at Naroghid Landfill (with option of a further 15 years)
  • Allocated a Quick Response Grant to Bookaar Recreation Reserve Committee of Management Inc. ($500) to restore a mural at Bookaar School
  • Adopted a new Borrowing Policy
  • Resolved to advertise for public submissions on Councillor and Mayoral allowances.
