What happened at the February Council Meeting

At its February meeting, Council:

  • Deferred for one month a decision on a Planning Permit for Breeding of British and Australian Bulldogs at 22 Pett Street, Skipton
  • Authorised the Chief Executive Officer to make a submission providing in-principle support for the amended proposal to develop 13 dwellings at 80 Camperdown-Cobden Road, Camperdown, through Victoria’s Big Housing Build
  • Received the finance report for the period ending 31 December 2021 and approved adjustments to the 2021-2022 reviewed budget
  • Adopted a:

      - new ‘Sexual Harassment - Prevention and Reporting Policy’ February 2022
      - updated ‘Public Halls Management Policy’ dated February 2022
      - updated ‘Community Initiated Projects Policy’ dated February 2022
      - updated ‘Playground Management Policy’ dated February 2022; and
      - updated ‘Flying of Flags Policy’ dated February 2022

  • Awarded Contract 2022015 Supply and Install Camperdown -Timboon Rail Trail Bridges to GR Design & Construct for the amount of $269,955.13 (exc. GST)
  • Received the ‘Strategic Risk Report - February 2022'
  • Noted the half yearly results for the period ending 31 December 2021 for the legislated performance indicators under the Local Government (Planning and Reporting) Regulations 2020
  • Received the ‘Council Plan and Annual Action Plan Progress Report’ for July-December 2021
  • Allocated a Quick Response Grant ($500) to Camperdown Clocktower Quilters for materials to make quilts for donation to deserving commuity members
  • Called for a report to be prepared for Council’s March meeting to update Councillors and the communty on the Port Campbell Town Centre Revitalisation Project
