What happened at the January council meeting

At its January meeting, Council:

  • appointed Lisa Young as an independent (external) member of the Corangamite Shire Council Audit and Risk Committee until 31 January 2027;
  • refused a Planning Permit for a two-lot subdivision (excision of dwelling) on Dalvui Lane Noorat;
  • received the December 2023 finance report and approved adjustments to the 2023-2024 forecast budget;
  • adopted a new
    • Risk Management Policy;
    • Equal Opportunity Policy and
    • Bullying and Harassment Prevention Policy;
  • received the Corporate Strategic Risk Report;
  • and resolved to
    • write to DEECA seeking ministerial approval for a proposed road deviation on the property at 5 Curdies Road, Timboon; and
    • lease the Old Toy Room and the Corner Room in the Camperdown Mechanics Institute to Play Therapy & Counselling South West for use of two years.
