What happened at the February Council Meeting

At its February meeting, Council:

  • Refused a Planning Permit for a two-lot subdivision on Timboon- Peterborough Road at Heytesbury Lower;
  • noted the six-month provisional results for the period ending 31 December 2023 for the legislated performance indicators under the Local Government (Planning and Reporting) Regulations 2020;
  • received the Annual Action Plan Progress Report for July – December 2023;
  • adopted the reviewed Use of Private Land Policy dated February 2024;
  • awarded Contract 2024007 for the supply and delivery of one new Hino truck mounted combination road maintenance unit (Jetpatcher) to Ausroads for $706,554.20 (inc. GST);
  • resolved to extend the Corangamite and Moyne Shire Library Shared Services Agreement for three years until 30 June 2028;
  • adopted the Camperdown Production Precinct Servicing Masterplan 2024;
  • approve Business Assistance Scheme Stream 1 grants to:
    • Camperdown Nursery and Mart: $1,364 excl GST.
    • BELEAF Gardens and Gifts Lismore: $1,300 excl GST.
    • Murfett Whiting and Electrical Terang: $3,000 excl GST.
    • Tania Maree’s Flowers Camperdown: $500 excl GST.
  • resolved to submit a motion for consideration at the MAV State Council;
  • resolved to consider and make a submission the Local Government Reforms 2024 Consultation Paper;
  • authorized an updated Instrument of Appointment and Authorisation
  • received a list of documents sealed by the Chief Executive Officer under delegation during 2023.
