What happened at the January 2023 Council Meeting

At its January meeting Council:

  • received the finance report for the period ending 31 December 2022
  • approved the variation to the 2022-2023 forecast budget
  • received the list of documents sealed by the Chief Executive Officer under delegation during 2022
  • authorised the Chief Executive Officer, in accordance with Meeting Procedures Local Law No.3 2016, to use the Common Seal for the following general classes of activities or transactions:
    • Planning and Environment Act section 173 agreements
    • funding/grant agreements
    • contracts endorsed by a resolution of Council
    • lease agreements endorsed by a resolution of Council
    • licence agreements endorsed by a resolution of Council
    • transfer of land documents for transactions endorsed by a resolution of Council
    • contracts awarded by the CEO within the CEO’s financial delegation
    • the following types of leases from the Leasing Policy:
    • Airstrip Hangar lease renewals, transfers, assignments or subletting
    • All licence agreements, including renewals, assignments or subletting
    • Crown Land license agreements;
  • adopted the

  • appointed Michael Tudball as Acting CEO from 30 January until a permanent CEO is appointed by Council Resolution
  • Allocated a Quick Response Grant to South Purrumbete Recreation Reserve Committee of Management ($500) to buy fencing materials
