What happened at the April 2023 Council meeting
At the April meeting, Council:
- Received the 2022-2023 Mt Leura and Mt Sugarloaf Management Committee Annual Report and 2023-2024 proposed budget
- Appointed community representatives on the committee Caroline Duynhoven and Frances Grundy for three years and Mary Graham for one
- Noted the officer’s report and endorsed the findings in the ‘Corangamite Community Vision 2040’, April 2023 Report Card
- Adopted a new Hard Court Maintenance Policy
- Awarded the Cobden shared path solar lighting project to Leadsun for $276,330 plus GST and increased the budget $83,330 to enable the project to proceed and approved variations could be approved under the delegation of the relevant Council officer up to Chief Executive Officer level
- Awarded ‘Contract 2023017—Port Campbell Town Centre Revitalisation 2023 Works’ to Civilnow in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the Evaluation Panel’s recommendation; and
- Allocated Quick Response Grants to:
- Corangamite Hockey Club ($377) to buy sticks and balls for indoor play
- 1st Noorat Scout Group ($399) to replace a damaged gazebo for use at camps
- Pomborneit Cricket Club ($500) to replace a television for coaching and presentations
- Terang Squash Club ($500) to buy six racquets to encourage juniors
- Clan Donald Victoria Society Inc for $500 towards the running costs of ceilidh event at Cobrico Hall
