What happened at the December 2024 Council meeting

At its December meeting, Council:

  • Granted a planning permit for a single dwelling and associated outbuilding on Loves Road, Curdies River;
  • received the signed Oaths of Office of Councillors Hickey and Makin administered by the Chief Executive Officer prior to the Council meeting of 26 November 2024, for recording in the Minutes of Council’
  • adopted a new Council Expenses Policy;
  • ·noted the Chief Executive Officer’s annual report on the activities and performance of the Community Asset Committees;
  • received and noted the Disability Access & Inclusion Plan 2021- 2025 Update December 2024;
  • approved a contribution of $55,000 (including GST) from the current budget to the Bookaar Cricket Club for the installation of changeroom facilities;
  • granted $25,000 from Skipton Community Collective Ltd towards a comprehensive feasibility study for a new early and community learning centre;
  • endorsed an updated instrument of delegation;
  • noted the Register of Contact with Developers and Lobbyists October 2023-November 2024;
  • Resolved to
    • submit the proposed name Poorpa Yanyeen Meerreeng to Geographic Naming Victoria for the Timboon to Port Campbell trail; and
    • hold its 2025 meetings on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 3 pm, except
      • June meeting on Tuesday 17 June; and
      • December meeting on 16 December.
