Award winning acrobats to spring into Camperdown

Edinburgh Festival award winners A Good Catch will bring jokes, acrobatics and knitting to the Theatre Royal in Camperdown.
The athletic trio’s show ‘Casting Off’, tells a funny and heartful story that explores what it means to be a daughter, a mother and a grandmother.
Acrobats since childhood, Spenser Inwood, Sharon Gruenert and Debra Batton have performed with prestigious companies such as Cirque du Soleil, Flying Fruit Fly Circus and Circus Oz.
The show challenged gender stereotypes with kindness and humour.
It will conclude with an informal Q+A, and at no extra cost offers a ‘laugh and craft’ session to connect with communities.
Participants are invited to bring their current craft projects for an hour of talking textiles.
Council Events and Creative Industries Team Leader Tammy Young invited residents to come along on Saturday 27 July.
“This one-hour play is about strong women supporting each other but it will be a great night for the whole family.
“In the 2040 Vision residents called for programs and events to connect communities through continued support and funding of arts and culture programmes for all ages of the Shire.
“These productions contribute to that vision and also to the objective in the Council Plan to establish the Theatre Royal as a premier venue for events.”
Keayang Maar Vineyard will be on site, selling wine by the glass.
Tickets are $20 here. ‘Casting Off’ is supported by Regional Arts Victoria.
