The search for a new operator at Timboon Children’s Centre is on track with a good response to an Expressions of Interest period, which closed last week.
Mayor Kate Makin said Council will now work through submissions to secure a new operator for the 33-space facility in Hamilton Street.
“We cannot give many details at this stage, other than to say we have received a number of responses and are optimistic a new provider will be secured by 28 June,” Cr Makin said.
Council launched an Expressions of Interest for a new operator at the centre in April after Kardinia Early Learning announced it would not operate the facility after 28 June.
“We understand the uncertainty has been really stressful for working parents and centre staff,” Cr Makin said.
“Council is working hard towards the best outcome and that is to ensure continuity of care and minimal disruption to the service.”
