Facility Design Grants Program open now

Sporting clubs and organisations across Corangamite Shire can apply for grants of up to $7,500 through the Facility Design Grants program.

The program helps organisations fund schematic designs or quantity surveyor costs to redevelop sport and recreation facilities or plan new ones.

Corangamite Shire Council Chief Executive Officer David Rae said: “This funding will support sporting organisations with financial capacity and relevant projects to have “shovel ready” designs that can be used for applications to future grant programs.

“To be eligible, organisations’ primary facility must be located in Corangamite Shire.

Providing improved facilities for participants and officials which meet the principles of universal design and relevant state sporting association guidelines will improve the experience of participation in sport and recreation.

“It is expected that projects will be completed by 30 November 2025.”

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a capacity to manage the project within the proposed time frame,” Mr Rae said.

Applications open on Monday 4 November and close at 5 pm, Friday 13 December.
