What do we value most about our towns and our communities?
What do we need to do to support future growth and development over the next 15 to 20 years?
What do we need to change and what do we need to protect?
Council is committed to supporting the future of Camperdown by creating sustainable communities, developing a vision and strategic direction for land-use in the town – called a Structure Plan.
A Structure Plan will enable us to capitalise on development opportunities and provide clear direction on sustainable growth and investment attraction. It will direct and promote residential growth, protect both the landscape, environment and neighbourhood characters, and plan for the growth of commercial, industrial and tourism opportunities.
A project working group is being established for Camperdown, chaired by a Ward Councillor and supported by Council staff. We are seeking community representatives, to provide input and advice and assist in the decision making throughout the project.
Are you interested in helping to support and guide the preparation of this important piece of work? Participation is likely to involve approximately 4-5 meetings, until mid-2025, with the first meeting to be held on Wednesday 27th November 2024 in the afternoon/evening.
Expressions of interest can be made until 4pm on Wednesday 6 November by contacting Council’s planning department, either by email planning@corangamite.vic.gov.au or on 03 5593 7104.
