Local History Bus Tour

A wonderful way to learn more about where we live and what has happened here before us.

This Local History Bus Tour will give you a chance to learn about the area, and visit two historic homesteads - Meningoort and West Cloven Hills.

You will be guided by Cr Nick Cole of West Cloven Hills, and Stewart McArthur of Meningoort. They are both descendants of pioneer settlers Nicholas Cole and Peter McArthur, their families have resided on their respective properties since 1839.

Schedule:

9.30 am: Depart from Bath Street, Camperdown (next to Theatre Royal)

Visit Meningoort and West Cloven Hills, north of Camperdown (no entry to the homesteads)

1:00 pm: Lunch at the historic Elephant Bridge Hotel, Darlington

2.30 pm: Conclude tour at Bath Street, Camperdown.

Cost of $50 includes lunch.
