Skipton Spring Festival

A flood recovery initiative in Skipton, held on the one-year anniversary of the 2022 flood.

Come and join in for a great day out in Skipton to celebrate the town's rich history in sheep and wool farming.

We are excited to unveil the town's newest artwork - Blade Shearer; a monument to local and internationally recognised blade shearer Ben Wilkie.

There will be live blade shearing (using Ben Wilkie's orginal shears!) and wool classing demonstration from 12pm onwards.

There will be a fantastic range of country market stalls showcasing local and artisan products, as well as informative stalls with information about the sheep and wool trade and how it has sustained the town over generations.

Enjoy LIVE MUSIC from 12pm - 4pm with Possums on the Porch playing in the rotunda in the main street, and Rock 'n Roll Stroll playing in the Town Hall.

REFRESHMENTS available from several food vendors situated throughout the township. Don't forget to grab a sausage from the Skipton Progress Association sausage sizzle or pop into the supper room at the Town Hall for tea, coffee, cold drinks and homemade slices.

KIDS ACTIVITIES available with an exhibition of local children's artwork in the Town Hall and colouring/ crafts available in the supper room. Head on over the bridge to Stewart Park for more fun and games by the Historical Society.

Parking is available throughout the town. Please make use of Jubilee Park (and visit the children's playground) and the football oval if additional parking is needed.
