About: The Princetown Recreation Reserve is located 6km's east of the 12 Apostles, adjacent the Gellibrand River. It is the closest camp site to the 12 Apostles, so it is the perfect location to base yourself for exploring all the Great Ocean Road highlights.

Princetown Recreation Reserve is the perfect central base for sightseeing along the Great Ocean Road. The 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, Melba Gully, Port Campbell and Otway National Parks, The Otway Fly, G.O.R.G.E Chocolates and The Great Ocean Walk are all within a few Km of the Reserve. Fishing, hiking and canoeing are just a few of the activities that are enjoyed by people who camp at the Princetown Recreation Reserve.
Kangaroos can be spotted grazing within the reserve and its surrounds most times of the year.
The Princetown Recreation Reserve is now managed by the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority. When you stay at a Great Ocean Road Park, your camping fees not only go into maintaining the campground, they are also reinvested back into the magnificent Great Ocean Road coastline in which you are staying. Your fees will go towards maintaining a wide range of public facilities, assets and infrastructure and other coastal projects.
