Renewable Energy
Renewable energy is energy produced by a renewable source such as solar, wind, hydrogen or hydro (water). Households can utilise renewable energy by choosing an energy provider that purchases renewable energy, and installing a household solar system.
Renewable energy provider:
These energy providers source their electricity from large-scale renewable energy producers including solar and wind farms. Although the cost of these providers may not be different to a non-renewable provider, you will reduce your household greenhouse gas emissions.
Contact your energy provider to see if they have a renewable energy plan
Installing solar:
Installing solar will reduce household energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions, protect from electricity price rises, and create independance from the electricity grid.
