Mt Leura & Mt Sugarloaf Management Committee [MLMSMC] is a group of six active local volunteers and a Council representative who manage the volcanically significant Mt Leura and Mt Sugarloaf Reserves on behalf of both Corangamite Shire and the National Trust.
Through monthly meetings the MLMSMC put into action details contained in the Mt Leura & Mt Sugarloaf Management Plan 2013-2023 including: managing Project Officer and contractors, overseeing funding, revegetation work, reviewing and designing signage and pamphlets, track maintenance, liaising with Friends of Mt Leura Inc., and planning and running annual events like the Come and Explore day, planting days and local NAIDOC week event.
In March each year two vacancies are advertised, committee members are appointed for three years with the option to reapply.
