Location and transport
 
Just over two hours from Melbourne, Corangamite Shire is linked by road and rail.
The Melbourne to Warrnambool rail line provides both public transport and freight services. Timetables can be found at www.vline.com.au
Coach and local bus services connect towns to the rail services in Camperdown.

Four major highways - Princes Highway, Hamilton Highway, Glenelg Highway and the Great Ocean Road - connect Corangamite Shire to regional centres including Ballarat, Geelong, Colac, Warrnambool, Hamilton and Portland.

We have libraries in Camperdown, Cobden, Derrinallum, Terang and Timboon, as well as a mobile library visiting Skipton and Lismore on a fortnightly rotation.
