There will be feast for the senses at the Graze the Day Festival on Saturday in Timboon.

Mayor Kate Makin said festival-goers would be treated to about 40 food, beverage and art stalls featuring regional producers from the Great Ocean Road region.

There will be live music, First Nations cultural and children’s activities.

“For many years the community has done a fantastic job putting on the annual Timboon Food Artisan Festival on the third Saturday in November.

“When Council was developing the ‘Grow and Prosper Corangamite’ framework, community members and businesses repeatedly said they needed support for a major event.

“As a result, we’ve teamed up with the 12 Apostles Food Artisans group to create a bigger, more vibrant celebration of what our community has to offer.

“Local producers from across the Shire are front and centre, supported by regional producers to make a an even more appetising event.

“There is limited capacity so book your tickets at grazetheday.com.au.”

Tickets are $20 per adult. Children are admitted for free but must be accompanied at all times.

Gates open at 11 and there will be a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony.

Keerray Woorroong and Yorta Yorta artist Sherry Johnstone’s original artwork created for Graze the Day will be on display to tell the story of how the land has provided for people for thousands of years, right up to the present day.

There will be masterclass sessions where the audience can get a taste of how the local food and beverage artisans create their products.

Author, environmental educator and student of nature Kylie Treble, of REAL Pizza Pasta Salads and the Place of Wonder, will demonstrate organic pasta making.

Tim Marwood from Timboon Fine Ice Cream will explain the differences between commercial and crafted ice creams.
