How has coronavirus affected your business?

Businesses are being asked to share their stories to help Corangamite Shire Council plan economic recovery during and after the coronavirus pandemic.
Council Manager Growth and Engagement Rory Neeson encouraged businesses in the Shire to take part in a survey aimed at identifying areas of need during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“The State and Federal Governments have implemented stimulus packages and Council will commit funds in the 2020-2021 Budget to offset the negative economic impact of the pandemic,” Mr Neeson said.
“What we aim to do with the survey is find out exactly what businesses need, so we can help businesses impacted by the pandemic recover quicker.
“We understand that it is a busy and unsettling time, but please take three minutes to fill in the survey in the next day or two so we can capture the mood right now.
“It’s about getting accurate information fast, so we can be smart about finding positive outcomes for our businesses, workers and communities.
“Getting a detailed snapshot of what is happening here in Corangamite will help us advocate more effectively for Government and industry initiatives.”
Submissions will be treated with anonymity and compared to similar data captured nationally.
“We’ll do another survey in the coming months to continue to understand the impact which will help us plan ahead for future events,” Mr Neeson said.
The survey can be found here.
Mr Neeson invited business owners to contact our Economic Development team for support sorting through the resources and information available at this time.
