Corangamite Shire Australia Day Awards

On 26 January each year, we publicly recognise the exceptional contributions, hard work and determination of people who make a positive difference within Corangamite Shire.

We have many champions in our Shire who do wonderful deeds in their community, who work quietly around our towns, drive kids to footy practice, deliver meals-on-wheels, perhaps volunteer with CFA or other community organisations or have just made a difference.  The Community Awards are an opportunity for these people and/or community organisations to be recognised for their contribution.

The 2025 ceremony will be at Camperdown's Theatre Royal from 10am on Sunday 26 January for our annual awards and celebration. We will honour the Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Event of the Year.

Six community members will also become Australian citizens during a special Citizenship Ceremony. Olympic trap shooting bronze medallist Penny Smith will be keynote speaker at the celebration.

The event will finish with a free community barbecue lunch for all, thanks to the Lions Club of Camperdown.
