Two-Day Accredited Food Handlers & Barista Course

Corangamite Shire young people (16-25 years of age) are invited to complete this free two-day accredited training comprising Safe Food Handlers and Barista courses. It is hoped that attendees will gain the necessary qualifications to assist with employment in the hospitality industry.

Participants will gain two qualifications in this course:

• SITXFSA005 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety + Espresso Coffee (theory)

• SITHFAB025 – Prepare and serve espresso coffee (practical)

Important Information:

• This is a two-day workshop running from 9am - 4pm both days. Participants will need to ensure they can attend both days. It is a pre-requirement that participants gain SITXFSA005 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety before learning SITHFAB025 – Prepare and serve espresso coffee (practical).
• Please arrive 10 minutes early if possible.
• Bookings are essential and priority will be given to people aged 16-25 years.
• Attendees need to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number on the day as it a national training requirement. If attendees do not have a USI, they can create one at: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi.
• Refreshments and snack food will be provided.
