Cobden Structure Plan and Cobden Aerodrome Masterplan

Amendment C59cora now approved

The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C59cora at the request of Council and the planning scheme has now been changed.

Amendment C59cora introduces the Cobden Structure Plan into the Corangamite Planning Scheme. In line with the Cobden Structure Plan, C59cora also applies the Victorian Government residential zone reforms in Cobden, gives effect to the Cobden Aerodrome Masterplan 2022 and specifies land to be rezoned and where new planning overlays will be applied, including Cobden Aerodrome.

About the Cobden Structure Plan

The Cobden Structure Plan (2022) sets out a 20 year vision for the future of Cobden. It was adopted by the Council on 20 December 2022.

The Cobden Structure Plan ensures land use planning and development is meeting community needs and maximising opportunities for sustainable growth in Cobden. The Plan builds on what is good about Cobden whilst also considering regional growth strategies, the Cobden Twenty 20 Vision Community Plan and the impact of broader economic changes, including as a result of COVID-19.
